What a night it was at The Aviary in Ormskirk. On 15th May 2026, we had the pleasure of being part of the Edge Hill Primary Education Graduation Gala, and it was exactly the kind of event that reminds us why we love what we do.

The Venue: The Aviary, Ormskirk

The Aviary is a brilliant choice for celebrations like this. It has a warm, sociable atmosphere that suits group events perfectly, and the space lends itself well to an evening of celebration, dancing, and yes, plenty of selfies. For a graduation gala marking the achievements of trainee primary school teachers, it set exactly the right tone.

Ormskirk itself sits right at the heart of the Edge Hill University community, so it made complete sense to keep the celebrations local. The Aviary gave the graduating cohort a proper send-off to remember.

The prop box was a particular hit. There's something about a cap and gown crowd getting hold of silly props that just works, and the photos proved it.

Over the course of the evening, guests took a total of 540 photos. That's 540 moments from a night that marked a genuinely significant milestone for everyone there. We love seeing those numbers at the end of an event because it tells us the guests truly got stuck in and had a great time.
