Tracey's Wedding at the Mercure St Helens: Magic Mirror Recap

What a gorgeous day it was for a wedding. On the 6th of June 2026, we had the pleasure of being part of Tracey's big day at the Mercure St Helens, and it's safe to say the celebrations did not disappoint. Our Magic Mirror was set up and ready to entertain, and the guests absolutely loved it.

A Brilliant Venue for a Wedding Reception

The Mercure St Helens is a fantastic choice for a wedding. It's a well-established hotel with dedicated event spaces that are well-suited to receptions of all sizes, giving couples a smart, polished setting without sacrificing warmth or atmosphere. St Helens itself sits in the heart of Merseyside and is easy to reach for guests travelling from across the North West.

The venue has that classic hotel charm that works so well with a Magic Mirror setup. There's enough space to create a proper photo experience, and the surroundings give every print a naturally elegant backdrop.

The Magic Mirror Setup

For Tracey's wedding, we brought our full Magic Mirror hire package, complete with a range of extras that really helped make the experience feel special and personal. Here's what was included on the night:

  • Red Carpet with Ropes and Silver Stanchions for a glamorous entrance to the mirror
  • A choice of hundreds of print templates to suit the wedding theme
  • Bespoke print design, so every photo strip felt unique to Tracey's day
  • Double prints, meaning guests kept a copy and Tracey had one for her memory book
  • A fun prop box packed with accessories to get even the shyest guests in front of the mirror
  • Unlimited visits throughout the evening so no one missed out
  • One print per use as standard, with upgrade options available
  • A friendly attendant on hand all night to keep things running smoothly
  • A download link with high quality digital copies for every guest
  • An online gallery so the memories are easy to revisit and share
  • Full setup and takedown handled by us
  • PLI and insurance certificates provided for venue peace of mind

The red carpet and stanchions were a particularly nice touch for a wedding. They gave the Magic Mirror its own little VIP corner of the room, which drew people in right from the start of the evening.

How the Guests Got on

The Magic Mirror accommodates four or more people at a time, which is perfect for weddings. Groups of bridesmaids, table friends and family members all piled in together, and the bespoke print design meant every photo came out looking like it genuinely belonged to Tracey's wedding rather than a generic hire setup.

Our attendant was on the mirror all night, helping guests choose props, guiding them through the experience and making sure the prints came out perfectly every time. It's always great to see a wedding dancefloor crowd warming up to the camera over the course of an evening, and that's exactly what happened here.

View the Gallery

The photos from Tracey's wedding are available to view and download online. Head over to the event gallery to browse through the shots from the night and relive the fun. Whether you were there or you're just curious to see what a Magic Mirror evening looks like in action, it's well worth a look.
